This is a somewhat rare assortment of files from the Big Children's Choir ( Большой детский хор ). They are most known for their rendition of the song Прекрасное далёко (Wondrous Future), a song the children sing about a future that they hope will not be cruel to them and has since become a sort of eulogy for the USSR's collapse in Russia. ussr-cry This playlist includes my favorite songs from the Big Children's Choir, but you can download all (250+) of the files in the link provided on the TankieTube playlist or my comment on Wondrous Future.

I have transliterated all the Russian text to be more readable to English viewers, but the original files are unedited and contain their Russian names for easier searching.

Roy Orbison had a tough life. It was really nice to see how happy he is in this video. It's great he finally got the appreciation he deserved.

Champions of Regnum is an oldie RVR open pvp mmo. Quite a few of the players are veterans. This is a fan made song to celebrate the fun of the game. Any feedback? Is it a nice song...

Travis and Trevor Stuart playing an original G tune "Henry King's Reel". Frequently called at my local jams. Travis is playing a two finger banjo style instead of the usual clawhammer.

I have used Spotify for years, in spite of the fact that they pay artists terribly - the reason for this was that out of all the streaming services, they had the largest and most complete weekly playlist of new releases.

Having a new release playlist like this is quite important for DJs (or people who curate popular playlists... or people who just like music). I searched online and found that people have made posts on reddit stating that their new release playlists have also been severely limited.

After going to the Spotify forums, I came upon the bullshit I have linked, in which a Spotify employee tells everyone complaining that the playlist has always been limited to 30 tracks, and if anyone received more it was a temporary glitch (despite people providing evidence of having 200 tracks for 5+ years), or was caused by external factors (??? lol).

Personally I hate it when companies do things like this. I am not sure whether they are trying to get their power users to quit, or if they truly believe that they can get away with lying so blatantly.

I have decided that I will no longer be supporting them. Figured I would share in case anyone needs to make a decision regarding which service to go with.

Foster the People has a new album out, pretty good! Torches, their debut, is one of my favs, and I've enjoyed some of their later work too. This one definitely sounds like FtP, though I think there's a little more brass and other jazzy sounds being pulled in. I haven't listened enough to have any album picks yet.

Have you listened yet? What tracks did you like best? What's your favorite FtP song?

Probably the funkiest single from Paula Abdul's second studio album, Spellbound. Always gets me in a good mood, I mean in a funky way.
