He even said something on the lines of "This Tom Scott is a character. Based on the real one, but nonetheless." I forget his exact wording, or which video it was in.
Oh yeah, he did say that. I suppose it's natural when there's a side of you that you show to the public and a side that you show to your friends. It's like how everyone acts sightly differently around their parents
I think any successful, level headed host, actor, media personality has a character they play in public. Actually to expand on that most people that are successful and want to keep sane have a public character.
I hate that idk if I should believe this or not
Yeah, you could easily make this up, and it doesn't feel like something Tom would do
Def doesn’t but he does also seem like a smooth mfer
I've always wondered what his personal life is like. I really like that he tries to keep it separated – it's professional – but still.

Hmm, no not that one. Tho it is a good video and says the same kind of thing :)
He is literally the poster child for software eng motherfuckers, he's a nerd and goobs around 24/7, an absolute spaghetti dropper
The man could only ever smooth if he was with someone who likes what he embodies (which is a fair bit of the population tbh!)
But on the standardized smooth scale, Imma go on a limb and say that that man has no chance of pulling at the local salsa club
