OSAMA BIN RUSSELL DOES IT AGAIN

Edit:

Yeah nevermind, no clue what was Hamilton thinking. He was never making that move

Hamilton out

We needed a red flag then.

[-] wgbirne@feddit.de 1 points 1 year ago

But he pitted one lap to late, didn't he?

[-] hagelslager@feddit.nl 1 points 1 year ago

Didn't he pit on 18 with brand new tyres?

[-] wgbirne@feddit.de 2 points 1 year ago

He needed to cross the finish line to get to his box. So technically he drove 18 laps and a small bit of the next one. But it seems that this is still ok, otherwise there would have been multiple black flags by now.

How is Perez behind Russell after all that?

What is Laura wearing on her back on F1TV? Is that like a mini fan or something? Or part of her audio pack? I don't think I've ever seen her wearing that before.

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Looks like the audio pack.

More drama for Lewis..Crossing the track

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

The mandatory tyre stops should be interesting.

Russell also making an excellent recovery.

[-] espentan@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Perez under investigation for track limits, again.

[-] TheBlue22@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 year ago

Cheeky Lando. I would say just let them fight.

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Great jump for Piastri though. Up 4 places into 2nd.

[-] espentan@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Lando ready to take on his teammate.

[-] LittleWizard@feddit.de 1 points 1 year ago

It doesn't make sense!

[-] hagelslager@feddit.nl 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

The Mercedes kerfuffle did lead to a lot of overtaking actions on Russels side. A lot of overtakes in general anyway!

[-] Nighed@sffa.community 1 points 1 year ago

Does the formation lap count for the tire lap limit?

[-] hagelslager@feddit.nl 1 points 1 year ago

Seems to become yesterday's podium with Piastri and Verstappen swapped.
