This is what the Austrian general predicted on his channel. Eventually with Russias lack of rotation burn out is going to happen. He used the WW1 example where troops after a year and a halfh at the front would not move if enemies even pointed guns directly at them.
Humans can give up like that. If they are in a position where they are going to eventually die anyway, there is no reason to speed up the process and also no reason to care once it is about to happen.
There are multiple ways for a person to be "killed" in war. Dying isn't always required.
Here is a radical idea.
Turn around. Go home.
