The zucchini seeds are already sprouting… that was fast. Not all have started but a fair few have - one is even way ahead of the others and has its first set of leaves

Have made a Dr appointment for tomorrow. I've got these weird things which came up on my arms in a few spots in the past couple of weeks. Thought they were ringworm or similar fungal thing, was treating them with OTC topical cream. Was wondering how TF I got it. But the cream didn't work and they've flared up hugely as a result of my treatment 😳☹️ The same thing happened with my feet a couple of years ago; I thought it was tinea, treated it accordingly and the whole situation got instantly massively worse and it turned out to be eczema.

Might be stress-related psoriasis. I have that in my hairline and the outside of my elbows, and its a pain to deal with. Cortisone cream works quite well. If the things are scaly patches that flake off leaving a red sore mark. Might be worth raising this with the dr.

His lordship's had a massive eczema flare as well and he's usually not prone. Must be something in the air

[-] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago

Ikr I've never had eczema until the foot thing, and then not at all since.

He's prone to psoriasis sometimes, but this is definitely eczema (my sister is allergic to bloody everything and has been her entire life, i'm welllllllllll acquainted with that shit). I suspect it may be because he's living in ducted heating for the first time in 16 years.

Had a convo with a couple of colleagues the other day about dark mode. They dont understand how I can work with it. I dont understand how you can use all white in office or outlook and that NOT hurt your eyes? so DT, what do you use? I'm dark mode all the way. Windows, Office apps, even my phone.

[-] StudChud@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Dark mode, no argument. The only correct answer is dark mode. It's easier to see, write, and read, and doesn't give me a headache.

Normal/light mode, I can literally feel my eyes strain and ache, my retina blasted away by the searing white light.
Edit: just realised light mode is the same feeling I get when I'm reading a book, and the sunlight hits the page just right so it glows, but you're too comfy to move and try to read through it... And go blind

Forced downtime so trying to take advantage and somewhat death clean myself.

Stuff = 1, Moi = 0

Why are there just some things that are inconvenient to store nicely. Yes, I have a gazillion ring-bound manuals. No, I haven’t opened them in forever. Yes, I need them.

Ugh. Cupboards are both the best and worst.
