You receive a message notification on WhatsApp, which was sent by your friend using her Signal messaging app

yeah Signal has already said they don't have plans to do that.

I degoogled in 2018. Not much would change for me.

I followed you in 2019 and did the same thing. So it would not affect me very much either.

I followed in 2021. What remains is that I use YouTube quite a lot (even though it's through piped or yt-dlp).

The year is 2030, and you are on your way to meet a friend for a meal.

I don't eat out

You receive a message notification on WhatsApp

I don't use any of ~~DARPA Lifelog~~ ~~Facebook~~ Meta disservices.

which was sent by your friend using her Signal messaging app

I don't have friends. And DEFINITELY not girls. (I use Arch btw)

You choose an app because you like the way it looks

I think I just vomited a little bit in my mouth

You look at reviews produced by people you follow

I don't "follow" people and never will.

Did you read the article? It's talking primarily about how this could be really good for consumers.

[-] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org -2 points 14 hours ago

Good to see media having a back bone... i guess google i did not pay them 20k for this one then.

Did you read it? It definitely has the tone of supporting the break up...
