I prefer Bubly and Waterloo. They're more flavorful, while still being sweetener-free.

[-] Boiglenoight@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

Same. Waterloo Cherry Limeade and Blackberry are the flavors I like most.

[-] Psythik@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

My favorites too

[-] huquad@lemmy.ml 3 points 4 days ago

All their flavors are bangers. Much better than lacroix

It's like someone took the perfect beverage {water} and decided to soak a used sock in it before attempting to hide this heinous blunder with a big squeeze of random flavorings.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 8 points 4 days ago

Disgusting.

[-] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

The lemoncello flavor is my favorite.

[-] huquad@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 days ago

I usually prefer straight citrus, but this one has grown on me

Yummy. Good soda substitute. Different flavors appeal to different people so if you don’t like one, try another.

Other brands are hit or miss as many of their flavorings taste “fake”.

[-] Pandantic@midwest.social 5 points 4 days ago

I love it. It’s my substitute for soda. I like lemon and cherry lime. My family got some for me when I came over for the holidays and they didn’t care for it. Lol

[-] atrielienz@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

Some flavors are better than others. Bubbly makes a comparable regular lime, but La Croix has the best key lime which I prefer.

[-] MajorHavoc@programming.dev 4 points 4 days ago

It's the vape pen of the soda world!

They have my permission to use this, heh.

[-] mmhmm@lemmy.ml 4 points 4 days ago

I love them in the summer. They are refreshing.

I really like tacking a pack of la Croix (or kombutcha) to a party or BBQ. I can chug through them like beer and be a responsible human at the end of the event. That no calorie and not artificial shit is a big big plus

[-] Whirling_Cloudburst@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

Mojito time! Minty lime goodness just in time for the new year. This is one of my favorites.

It all depends on the flavor really. Some are done better by Bubbly (mango). I like Soleil's Blood Orange out of all the citrus ones.

[-] Lettuceeatlettuce@lemmy.ml 4 points 4 days ago

They're alright, decent bang for the buck. If you need to quit soda like me, they help.

[-] ArtVandelay@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

It's ok, but I prefer Spindrift.

[-] weeeeum@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Honestly all brands of seltzer are equal, even cheap ones. And I really like seltzer. I just get whatever is cheapest.

La Croix is fine, got a bunch from my boss after a party of his. It's very unexceptional

[-] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 4 days ago

Strong disagree. There's a massive difference in the taste between LA Croix and cheaper/generic brands.

[-] xthexder@l.sw0.com 2 points 4 days ago

I definitely agree, but I was expecting you to compare with something more expensive. Personally I really like Spindrift, but it's like 2x the price. On the other hand, you can't beat tap water for value (or filtered water depending on your local water quality).

[-] iamjackflack@lemm.ee 2 points 4 days ago

It sucks. Generic store seltzer is better.

[-] MxRemy@piefed.social 4 points 4 days ago

Loves me some

[-] devfuuu@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

Haven't had, I don't know where she lives, but definitely very hot.

[-] plm00@lemmy.ml 3 points 4 days ago

It's fizzy water flavored by filtering juice through a balloon.

[-] pinapelz@social.moekyun.me 3 points 4 days ago

Not the best tasting thing in the world but like a lot of people said it’s a good substitute for soda and it usually hits my cravings (but sometimes I decide to mix some sorta drink powder into it turning it back into a pseudo-soda)

[-] Blackrook7@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Splash of cranberry juice for me

[-] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 3 points 4 days ago

They're fine. I keep some stocked in the fridge because friends like them.

[-] FeelzGoodMan420@eviltoast.org 3 points 4 days ago

They're all literally the same damn thing. They all just taste like flavored seltzer to me.

[-] Lighttrails@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 days ago

I enjoy a Lacroix depending on the flavor- Passionfruit is my favorite. The top tie, first round pick for sparkling water in my book is Topo Chico. Add a little bit of lime juice and a splash from a ginger bug on the rocks and you have a spicy treat

[-] Cornflake@pawb.social 3 points 4 days ago

Haven't had La Croix, but in general I love carbonated water. It's quite possible I drink more sparkling water than I drink tap water because my tap just tastes yucky for some reason.

[-] papertowels@lemmy.one 7 points 4 days ago

Try a pitcher filter! I've found it can make a big difference in taste.

[-] proper@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Spicy water

[-] tiefling@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 4 days ago

I need the fizzy water

[-] huquad@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 days ago

Fun fact, you can refill soda stream bottles with dry ice. Just make sure to measure with a scale
