If vaccines were herion people would be a lot more receptive.

That's actually a brilliant idea. Make a version that contains a low dose of an opiate for "injection pain" make it way lower then what someone who is addicted could get high off (that way people don't want to steal vaccines).

I would get my flu shot every year haha.

I haven't got access to heroin. Any ideas?

Get access to heroin and then report back.

[-] HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 19 hours ago

That's.. descriptive. Anyways, I have one idea.

[-] rehydrate5503@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

You’re thinking of PCP I’m talking about your PCP.

Heroin is not especially dissimilar to other opioids and was used medically for a long time before falling out of favor for other opioids with marginally less addictive potential. Has to do with its ease of crossing the blood-brain barrier. Black-market heroin is markedly less safe due variability in purity and adulterants, as well as the absence of medical supervision compounding with those factors to increase overdose risk.

[-] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 hour ago

Heroin is still used in some countries where they don't have a lot of strong opioid options. It actually tends to agree with people better than even morphine at an equivalent dose.

[-] lustyargonian@lemm.ee 3 points 19 hours ago

Depends on the dose. Too much of it can cause inconveniences.

[-] random_character_a@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago

Pretty sure that's bloodletting.

...and yes, probably clueless about vaccination.

[-] gnutrino@programming.dev 41 points 1 day ago

Painter must have been stood there for an awfully long time.

Painter: Have you finished inventing the vaccine yet?

Edward: For the 1000th time just shut up and let me work, I’ll tell you once it done.

[-] samus12345@lemm.ee 1 points 20 hours ago

Longer than you think, since the painting was made over a hundred years after the event being depicted took place.

Guy had some patience to wait and paint the man with his patient.

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 day ago

Any relation to the Kardashians?

..I'll show myself out

[-] random_character_a@lemmy.world -2 points 22 hours ago

Hmm.

The event was 1796 and he was born 1877.

[-] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 4 points 21 hours ago

No. The painter was born in 1877.

[-] random_character_a@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

That's what I just said
