For a little guess what, what do you think this is for and what's it called? No googling!

Baguette server? For slices of garlic bread.
Or a shoe horn.

Do tell us the answer (in a spoiler please)

Wrong answer: M&M "shot" tube! Load your M&M's in, then down it as fast as possible!

[-] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 4 hours ago

Never thought of that! Maltesers would go a treat in there! Thank you.

Happy to intoxicate!

It looks like a shoehorn, but that would be absurd. For deseeding something specific?

Ok. This thing is for olives and is called an olive boat and I was as stumped as you were when I received it. There you go.

My melatonin is coming from South Korea this time. That's interesting. Usually it comes from California. This time it came from Incheon, SK, and they've flown it over to Perris CA, US, just to fly it to Australia. Seems like it would've been more efficient to just make it go Vroom Vroom from SK to AU

I also ordered something from JB which is coming through "Australia Post Metro Services", which I've never heard of. Looks like it's basically just express post but they deliver on Saturdays and they pick it up from the sender rather than the sender dropping it off. JB reckons it will arrive tomorrow. Auspost reckons Monday. It's currently in Somerton, after having been posted from Thomastown. Bets are now open: will it arrive tomorrow, or Monday?

E: JB has been processed at sunshine west, which can either be delightfully efficient, or a black hole. Bets on.

Crikey, I don't know what it is about today, but I'm so much sweater than yesterday. I almost turned on the air con, but the temp is finally dropping a bit now so the windows will very slowly cool it down a bit

Yep. I've been a sweaty mess all damn day. Like just dripping. I have a cool wet towel to dab it up and have been guzzling water like a hydro-slut. Maybe it's the humidity?

Show me your drawers people. I'll rate them.

I will add, if it works for you that's all that matters.

[-] TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 4 points 3 hours ago

I failed miserably to take a pic of my cutlery drawers (I think my phone camera is broken) - so you'll have to make do with the everyday cooking hooks taken using my laptop camera. Yes I keep coffee sachets in a diced tomato tin. Waste not want not. Includes a portrait of my absolute fab fave aluminium egg flip/general purpose stirrer that I found at a garage sale and have been in love with ever since.

It's a little sad because I still have a fair bit to load in. And I lost my bottle opener in the move

DepressoDrawer2000

I will get dividers eventually, and I do have more spoons and other cutlery. It just didn't seem worth taking everything out of its packaging if I don't need them yet. The stains, chips, and various specs were complimentary, and aren't interested in moving out

And I still only have 1 knife. Hoping on Monday I can ask somebody to take my phone and run a knife block through the checkout

Oh darling that's not bad. Have you seen Eagle's? Nah you're doing good mate. ✅

Needs a wooden spoon.

[-] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 6 points 4 hours ago

At the end of the day, if we're being honest, practically that'd do pretty much everything.

Everyone here being all like "wah my drawers are so cluttered"

Well, this is what happens when one doesn't invest in a cutlery divider

[-] Taleya@aussie.zone 7 points 5 hours ago

Beautiful. Knives, forks, spoons. Any other way is wrong. Great job.
