I have a meme account on Instagram, which I'd like to also have on the Fediverse. Can anyone recommend me a Pixelfed instance for this? Or maybe another type of server?

Pixelfed.social, is probably a good starting point, although might be worth having a look through the instance list, as there maybe a more meme specific instance..

I feel like I've seen way more meme accounts on mastodon rather than on pixelfed, since reboosting works pretty nicely and you have a higher reach. Maybe try mastodon?
