The heads of Canada's biggest grocers met in Ottawa on Monday after the Liberal government summoned them to come up with a plan to 'stabilize' food inflation.

Food inflation was still sitting at 9% while general inflation had dropped sub 3%. They can support this initiative by ceasing to rip us off. Frankly I'm annoyed that we're apparently seeking their support rather than demanding their obedience or meting out consequences.

I agree and I don't trust them or the government to do anything about it...

But, by giving them a chance to do something first, they will have no defence if gets to the point where there needs to be additional regulations.

We will see.
