I feel like the kind of person who would buy a car through Amazon is also the kind of person who doesn't leave their house in the first place.

Or someone who doesn’t support the lengthy and exhausting process of buying a car from a dealership and having to negotiate a price.

Yeah, I'm there for a car and not games.

Do you think the cars on amazon will be cheaper than sticker price and save you the negotiation?

[-] CaptainPedantic@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

No, they don't have to be cheaper. In fact, I'd be willing to spend a bit more than I had to just to not deal with negotiation bullshit

It would allow for more price transparency, wouldn't it ?

I like how when I turned down the extended warranty the last time I bought a car, the saleswoman looked at me like I just shot her dog.

Or how about all the threads I see online where they will all but refuse to sell you a vehicle if you try and pay in cash / not use their financing provider.

Literally the ONLY thing I like about the dealerships is being able to look at clean cars indoors.. There is NOTHING else of value in the interactions with the sales person.
