To help drive the point home, does that mean you need a CDL to even drive it?
Edit: thanks for the replies. Yikes. Here I thought the sheer size of the thing would keep it out of the hands of everyone but professionals.
Depending on the configuration, the lower end of the GVWR on the F-650 is 25,600lbs, while a CDL is required for anything above 26,000lbs. I've definitely seen a couple of people with them as "personal" vehicles, but they've all been show cars of some sort.
Yeah you would be surprised to know who can drive big oversized vehicles with just a class c licence. I think as long as it only has 1 set of axles in the rear and under a certain length. Because I know people who drive large box trucks who shouldn't be.
Not unless things have changed. I drove an F650 a couple times during a summer job 20 years ago.
