would the "VR rape case" then be sexual harassment?
This whole thing is just really weird. Should the police not investigate because it's not rape? Also rape, according to the Met, can only be done by people with dicks...
This whole thing is a mess
That's the legal definition in the UK afaik. It is weird, but since people feel uncomfortable debating topics like this, it probably won't get changed either.
The legal definition of rape is when a person intentionally penetrates another’s vagina, anus or mouth with a penis, without the other person’s consent.
So seeing you can't do in VR or on the Internet. It's not rape in the legal definition. They have don't have a case.
EDIT Here's the Met Police article about sexual harassment/rape, https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/rsa/rape-and-sexual-assault/what-is-rape-and-sexual-assault/
Im not debating that. It's just weird that the legal definition is, well that.
Nice edit, Lemmy user.
huh? what do you mean?
