Lots of drama happening behind the scenes

There's a lot more context in the lead dev's blog but the TL;DR is that a sister company working on Dead Cells updates had plans for updates and DLC for at least 2025, but they were abruptly cancelled to make room for Windblown, putting the company and community in disarray.

Former lead designer/lead dev is not happy.

This has nothing to do with selling out.

Motion Twin, the original studio behind the game, are the ones terminating all the updates. Evil Empire, the studio that took over development of it for the last 5 years and have developed 22 large content updates (as opposed to MT, who only released the first 2), had to abruptly cancel their future plans.
