On top of the other comment he apparently modeled aspects of Leon and Mathilda’s relationship on his own romantic one which sketches me out to no end. I enjoyed the movie but the cut I saw felt a little too close to romantic rather than the guardian/parental dynamic I expected and I didn’t even see the extended cut.

10/10 camera angle when Leon screams though.

He got together with his second wife when he was 31, and she was 15. So you know, bit of a pedo. Also knocked her up and she had a kid at 16.
