So I've been noticing most of the cashiers at big supermarket keep asking customers to use self checkout but little do they know that these numbers are being recorded and once executive of that big supermarket see customers have learnt to use self checkout then they will get rid of cashiers and replace with the self checkout. Same goes for cashiers at Petrol station, today I went to fuel up and had an expired voucher. She gave me a discount and then immediately canceled the transaction and said the voucher is expired. At that time I was thinking she's trying to save $2 for a trillion dollar company who's paying her minimum wage. People should use common sense.

Once upon a time, a cash register had buttons on it, and you had to add shit up and push buttons, and we needed a basic motherfucker to stand there and stare at the wall until a customer needed a little math done and buttons pushed. We paid em a basic wage for being a basic motherfucker, and we needed that.

We don't need basic motherfuckers anymore. We got computers, we got touch screens, we got robots, we got sensors, we got "AI" (not really, but we call it that)... We've reached the point where we can actually do the "utopian future" deal where we put the robots to work and the humans go frolick in the grass...

Problem is that the robots are still basic motherfuckers, and can only replace basic motherfucker humans, and basic motherfucker humans aren't rich.

So wtf do we do man? My vote is we go frolick in the fucking grass. Every citizen over 18 (yes, every fucking single one. Don't be an asshole. Everyone.) Gets a tax free check for $1k every Friday. Period. 50k/yr is enough to cover food clothing and shelter/utilities. Want more? Go get a job. Pay taxes. Do exactly what we all do now. Ditch snap, welfare, SSI, all that shit, keep the SS deductions on pay intact, and if that isn't enough, increase the taxes on wages. It's all going to be "extra" money anyway, it won't fucking matter... The 50k job you got now that scrapes you by turns into a 100k job, and you're only taxed on half. It turns a single income household into a dual income household. It's a win if you wanna frolick in the grass and leave the work to the robots, it's a win if you want more than just enough and go work...

You reduce the labor pool, so workers are more valuable and get treated as the valuable assets they are (or employers buy a lot of robots... Or get fucked because the employees all went next door...).

Less people filing taxes... Maybe a lot less... Less workload on the IRS... Less refundable credits (hell, get rid of them) and shenanigans with numbers on the returns that get filed. Less of a net loss in tax revenue if nobody gets back more than they actually paid in. Maybe less complications overall? Reduce the tax code? Yeah fucking right, won't happen, but it's possible.

You're not hiring anyone into a minimum wage position expecting motivation, competence, common sense... You're hiring a basic motherfucker to do basic shit... Replace them with tech and let them go frolick.

Universal basic income, the first step towards turning all the work over to the robots. Been talking about that shit for at least 50 years now, let's fucking do it already :)

What the fuck do we do about all the Karen's that'll come out the woodwork bitching about laziness though? I got nothin on that part.
