Resumes should be scrubbed of information that identifies the applicant as much as possible before they go to the hiring manager for deciding who gets an interview. This wouldn't fix everything, but it would give a lot of people a better chance at getting a foot in the door.
There should be a name firewall for the screening process. The person hiring shouldn’t know if the applicant is male, female, Chinese, or a robot. Obviously they’ll find out in the interview but yeah, at least it starts with a fair chance.
