Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Getting old sucks. Maybe it will happen to you someday.
Dianne is part of a thin Senate majority and on the judiciary committee. If she were to retire now, governor Newsome would name a replacement and set up a special election. But, that replacement would not have her senority in the Senate or on committee. So, should something happen, like Biden nominating a new judge, it could turn into a real shitshow. Could relive Garland. That is the reason, I think, that you won't see her gone until the next Senate
Of course she still votes on the floor and in Committee. I believe she has some say over priorities on the Committee
Someone does. It isn't her.
She's wasnt even fucking aware she was gone for 6 months. They care more about power than their constituents.
I voted for her in her most recent election for similar reasons. I didn’t want a first year senator when we were having to deal with Trump.
I don’t think I’d make the same decision today after seeing how far she’s declined. She’s senior, but she’s not the powerful voice of leadership that we need. And Feinstein’s clout, such as it is, has been imperceptible in therms of making the Senate not a shitshow. She has less ability to make things go right than freshman senator Sinema has wielded to make things into the shitshow.
She should be pushed out of office.
Not physically.
And she should be replaced with someone able to both take an active role now and who will be able to grow their position for decades.
It's why she should retire like 5 years ago. She could've spent time with her family before her mind went.
I usually replace old socks though, unlike Dianne.
Hopefully I’ll be able to retire and not have to deal with work.
But then again my job ain’t so cushy that I can literally not show up.
Yeah, her and her ilk are making it so we won’t get to be as old as her. Recent generations have shorter life expectancies than previous.
So, yeah, not lookin likely there chief.
