Apparently someone tried to assassinate Trump
I really don't approve of violence for political purposes, but I can't help but feel that the mongrel thoroughly deserves this or something like it. It's a pity the shot went wild. Apparently the shooter is dead according to the abc.
The real downside is that he's going to make political hay out of this - it's a real gimme for motivating his voter base. Maybe even to saint and martyr status.
If the shot had struck home, he WOULD be a martyr. This is better
Yeah but there would be no one equivalent to replace him, so the traditionalist republicans might have a chance at regaining the party back from MAGAs.
Depending on how this plays out this could also stir up the public over there in not so good ways.
Trumpās going to ride this out and take it to his advantage sadly, I just hope he doesnāt kick the hornetās nest with his supporters.
I doubt he'll be able to stop himself. Too many self aggrandizing jollies on offer.
Unfortunately his son already declared that it was the extreme left that did it so itās already political sadly.

I sadly think that just secured a MAGA victory. When I saw the photo of a triumphant Trump leaving the stage whilst fist pumping and bleeding, I thought OMG this is going to send MAGA supporters even deeper into blind frenzy hero worship. Project 2025 here we go.

Itās very, very hard to aim precisely enough to hit someoneās ear but not the rest of their head. Thatās an absurdly precise shot to attempt deliberately.
It canāt be a BB gun or something either. They lose velocity really quickly over any sort of distance, so his ear wouldnāt go to pieces like that with a BB pellet.
Real gun, real attempt.

I doubt it. Heās a leader of a cult, not Martyr. they know what happened to to folks on Jan 6th, and they know if heās dead he canāt save them.
Itās all well and good to say youāre prepared to die for him, but actually doing it (especially once he is already dead) is another thing entirely.
