I agree with the other posters. Sounds like you got a deal.
I used to be the upgrade-every-time with chip changes. That was in the 2000s, when the difference was very noticeable. Modern hardware is so damn fast that you'd only be able to notice if, as @FabioC93@feddit.it said, you're doing super heavy lifting all day every day.
I'm still loving the performance of my M1 MBP and likely won't upgrade for a couple more years. Unless there's a super-compelling new feature, of course.
