Why they get so much attention is beyond me; it only expands their platform and ragebaits more people.
Sounds like you've got it figured out. It drives engagement, clicks and views.
Well when you put it that way, it makes it sound like profit-driven news media is a bad thing
The uncomfortable truth is that that is what matters now. I wish equal attention was given to all aspects of the political spectrum but I guess it would end up in the same situation eventually because people love to feel outraged.
