Some fuck has been flying a quad-copter over my place for a few months now. I want to build an RF jammer thing but it's a $1.5 million or up to 8 years in prison penalty :( My only option is to convince the resident magpie to take it out.

They are so annoying, aren't they? I get DoorDash drones flying over my place, I absolutely hate them. Door Dash claims they are really quiet and fly high enough they are not annoying, but I am regularly being annoyed by the sound so that claim is obviously rubbish.

Is flying the quad-copter over your place not illegal?

+1 to the magpie taking it out.

I thought it was. I think it's a racing FPV drone. Noise is basically like a giant mosquito.

That's a $47k fine right there or up to 2 years in the slammer :(

Still thinking about that option. Place backs on to a lot of uninhabited empty space so no one would be at risk.

You’re not even allowed a potato gun or a glove gun… damn.

Got any garden stakes? How good is your throwing arm?

Ahaha, spud gun was my first thought, too.

Oh shit, I've got a potato gun. Seriously, are those things illegal? 😧😳

Oh man idk, I’m getting conflicting info

If it’s so strict I wonder what the ruling would be on those salt guns made for shooting flies. Those seem silly btw. Just a matter of time before someone gets salt propelled in their eyes

After reading a bit, I think it's based on whether it uses combustion as propulsion of the potato missile, whether it obviously looks to be a kids toy, whether it has potential to cause bodily harm or is over a certain size. Was a very entertaining read!

I wonder about net guns. That would certainly make a drone fall out of the air.
