Is Google Chrome sandboxed by default on Linux?

Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
much thanks to @gary_host_laptop for the logo design :)
Why would suggest a jump from Ubuntu to qubes?
Afaik Qubes runs all software in containers,
which isolates them from each other,
which is great for privacy.
However, OP only asked for Chrome,
and I assume the jump to Qubes might be too big.
To only isolate Chrome,
I'd recommend a Flatpak instead.
Or even better Ungoogled-Chromium.
Oh, I just figured that a portable version of an isolated OS would be a decent alternative. Bit you're right maybe a bit too much
