I am admittedly part of this problem. I have posted YouTube videos with little context (see here)
The comment there is kind of what I was hoping to see discussed. I thought it was an interesting perspective on public hearings. It was a short 15 min video that didn't seem like a huge commitment.
That being said, I agree with the post here. I didn't give any details beyond the title. No length, no summary. Not a great post in retrospect. And I get the same kind of annoyed feeling when people post just YouTube videos with little context on gaming. So I'll definitely make sure I don't do a similar thing in the future.
As a mod for gaming I am definitely willing to encourage some sort of best practices when posting videos. Though I am not sure I want to go all the way to removing posts for not doing it. But I've been monitoring this and mod talks to see if we want to do something more official. So stay tuned I suppose. In the meantime I'll be encouraging YouTube posts on gaming to add more details to a post
And I don't think a requirement or you take it down is what is needed. Maybe if it is not there, just a nudge from a mod to give a little more info
