The future US special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, in his peace plan suggests freezing the front lines. He also reportedly advocates for pressuring Kyiv and Moscow to sit down at the negotiating table and lift sanctions against Russia, reports US broadcaster CNN.

Am I missing something?

From my understanding (speculation really), Trump is going to comply with all of Putin's demands (other than surrendering Zaporozhie and Kherson), lift all sanctions and then claim he "stopped the war" and his supporters will of course buy it because they know little about Ukraine and some have a tendency to support demagoguery in a genuine manner.

Look up the Kellogg and his white paper on the topic.

Unless Trump hired him for shows this guy ain't gonna give Putin an inch.

Ukraine will still get fucked but biden fucked Ukraine over pretty bad too. Hopefully some GOP hardliner can do something better for them.

Bro... Ukraine has been degraded since last year to the point where I have concerns about their front collapsing.

US and EU support was trickled to get Ukraine cornered... We can argue over reasons but this-where we are at.

With Ukraine being this soft, it is gonna be hard to them to argue much of anything.

Kellogg can't ain't there to rep Ukraine, he is there to cut a deal that benefits US. He will do just that, Ukraine is just lucky from pure cold real politiks angle US hawks need Ukraine in a decent shape post peace deal.

So that's what will likely happen. Time will tell.

Oh, I am well aware, I live in Ukraine. :) I agree with you, but I am going to despair. Nothing good comes out of that.

I just don't expect any good faith actions from Trump or his appointees. Just the nature of oligarch rule.
