The first time I showed it to my kid, they said "Daddy, what is reality?"
I still don't know how to answer, especially in a way that makes sense of the video.
Kid, that is exactly what question that video was asking, and it doesn't know the answer either.
Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of ~~science~~ explaining things to 5-year-olds?
I've had two 5-year-olds. You blow their minds enough they'll leave you alone for a few minutes.
For me, when they asked that question, I said "let's talk about it after the video." (I genuinely intended to, but I wanted to think about my answer and to finish the video.) At the the of the video, they'd lost interest and no longer wanted to discuss it.
A few days later, I forget why, but they asked me what a soul was. I said something like "your soul is who you are deep down." They said "okay!" and went back to whatever they were doing, so I guess they weren't too invested.
They've been asking a lot of hard hitting questions lately.
Yeah, they keep doing that.
I'll usually hit them with a spread of what different people think, I try not to lead them let them make their own decisions, invariably I will poison the well with bias unintentionally. Of course I can hardly avoid it when they go well what do you think, because that's probably not something I should be hiding either...
Would you mind if I messaged you directly, rather than continue deepening this thread until it's unreadable?
