To give people a little hope in these trying times... am I the only one here doubting it will hit 40 today? Was just outside and yeah it's warm, but I don't feel it in my bones...

Temp is currently dropping: http://www.baywx.com.au/melbtemp2.html

At the moment it's predicted to hit 41 at 5pm.

Going to be a steady climb in temp till it that point.

It's already 2° above the predicted temp right now

Salt. Specifically (in this context) the salt of sweat.

Seriously, if the cloud cover persists then the temp will probably stay low. As soon as the sun comes out the temp will soar. Looking at windy.com the cloud cover is pretty patchy so I don't hold out much hope for a reduced temperature.

I can see some wilting tomato and potato plants outside that disagree strongly with your assessment.

And I see the temp is rising again.

So... does anyone know the best seasoning to use on hat? Asking for a friend.

Probably activated charcoal, depending on how nasty a substance said hat is made of.
