I like Bluesky, but I don't disagree with this. When I started there last year it was A LOT of furry art and furry stuff. And they have every right to do all that. Go to town; I don't care. But I also don't really want to see it all over my feed(s).
I ended up subscribing to a list that mutes a ton of furry stuff, and that's really helped clean up the feed.
This is something I kinda wish was a more common feature: a robust tagging system. That way you could just opt in/out of the tags you don't want to see. Reddit kinda sorta had a partial solution, but it always seemed tacked-on.
Of course, there are a lot of difficulties to make a good tagging system, and it requires either centralisation or coordination. The former goes against lemmy's decentralised philosophy, and the latter requires a lot of extra moderation/admin work.
