[Half Life 3 (HL3) doesn't count as we already know that game is still a long way off from coming out. Like another 5 or more years.]

Loved Freelancer! Did you try the Everspace games? They're the closest to a spiritual successor that I've played.

Yeaaah I tried the last one, while It comes close and was fun to play, I missed the free universe roaming even if it was mostly empty (like the real deal xD).
