Yeah I mean the web is lost but the tildeverse is still a thing so that's something but it's not going to change the world only become the resistance.
Tildeverse?
It's a group of Linux and Unix shared servers around the internet where you can host a website or talk on IRC or mailing list. Some host different services like mastodon. There are webrings for different tildeverse sites. It's a community per server. It feels like back in the day when you could get access to a shell account on a sunsite at local universities.
I wholeheartedly believe nothing is lost yet! We're still around, we're still full-on "seditious" (from the perspective of Big Bucks McOildrill), we can do this!
But, yes, we do need an Underground Railroad type network for now...
