Ahhh, X4, the greatest space game that nobody ever seems to talk about. I really like it because the economy and supply lines and factories actually work. But it can be a bit janky.
That's what I'm thinking, I've never even heard of this game so now gotta go check it out
Okay I'm back, and just looking at it I'm real concerned about these sandbox aspect of it, most of what I liked about satisfactory was the free roam but guided adventure, and sandboxes don't generally have that
It's not so much a sandbox, but more of a 4X grand strategy game. Conquer the universe, or at least help some other faction to do so. And stop the Xenon from assimilating everything. It's like a cross between Elite Dangerous and Stellaris.
If you're into micro managing an empire and freedom it really is a great game. Its a bit janky but it has charm. Itll never feel like the game is forcing you in any direction. You can easily just fly through space mining rocks if you wanted.
I was actually thinking about playing x4 recently...I bounced off of it forever ago but the comment seems neat. I have so many other games to play though and Satisfactory is my current fixation D:
It's really fun. But at some point you have enough resources that the game changes from an immersive space sim to a grand strategy game, and you spend most if your time in the map and menu screens.
Do you recommend any mods
Haven't played in a while but the better friendly fire mod was essential for me.
Not really. I didn't play with any mods.
Recommend some anyway. I can't enjoy most single player games without mods (or at least a trainer).
