My appreciated bird is for the kookaburras. Particularly the one that stole bacon rind from the camp-fire and proceeded to bash it against the rocks a metre from my eyes before taking off to a nearby tree to enjoy. It then watched me eat my breakfast.
We have a family of Kookas who live in the bush across the road. Their evening chatter and laughs is the best way to end a day.

I am, but the pay off for the kookas is the snakes!
I love Kookaburras though I could do with it gout the food stealing.
I haven’t seen one in ages though.
Kookaburras are my fave. Such cheeky buggers and they always make me smile.
That laugh is pure sarcasm.
