I bet that's partially because they were expensive.
No doubt. That's also why they continue to have the same 5 in-house VAs. That's the only good thing I can actually say about Starfield: the dude who voices the ~~Annoying~~ Adoring Fan really hammed it up for this one compared to the same character in Oblivion.
Hammed usually carries negative connotations, so I am confused by it's use here. Are you describing something positive or negative about the performance?
Personal taste I guess. I've seen videos of the adoring fan for Starfield and I'm happy I skipped on that perk because I likely would have shot him in the face immediately
