Has anyone else walked through 101 Collins Street before? I swear you could set a Kubrick inspired horror movie in that foyer alone
Yep. Know it well. For a while, the State Revenue Office had it's customer service centre there (alas no longer extant). Went there a lot. Personally, I'd choose this spot to bury a few pharoahs for future reference.
One thing I noticed today is the pillars don't actually connect to the ceiling. They go most of the way up then just stop. Purely ornamental
Yes, I used to do corporate catering for Macquarie Bank, many moons ago now. The foyer a massive cavernous space with marble from arsehole to breakfast time as I recall.
I think the start of Hercules Returns is shot there.
