Recall is a legal term for the car industry which includes stuff like reporting obligations. So if the defect meets the severity level of a recall it should be called as such, even if it is 'just' a software update. Ambiguous terms for safety violations are dangerous and may cost lives.
Ich wollte gerade schreiben "Korrelation bedeutet nicht Kausalitaet" - aber gluecklicherweise lassen sie im zweiten Teil des Artikels auch jemand zu Wort kommen der das auch erklaert. Etwas weniger reisserisch am Anfang ("Bildschirmzeit macht fett") waere aber schon schoen gewesen.
Dass man Screentime - gerade bei den kleinsten - moeglichst gering halten sollte ist schon klar, aber die dort geschilderten Probleme wuerde ich jetzt nicht an der Bildschirmzeit festmachen. Eher anders herum - die Kinder hatten so viel Bildschirmzeit weil die Eltern insgesamt nicht wussten wie man mit dem Kind umgeht. Ab etwa drei Jahren koennen digitale Geraete auch eine sehr nuetzliche Erweiterung zum lernen sein, ab dann etwa sind etwa so Sachen wie einfache Photobearbeitung auf dem Tablet moeglich.
Steuerfinanzierte Rente waere aber auch kein Umlagemodell mehr. Ich finde zwar auch dass wir eine ordentliche Vermoegenssteuer brauchen - aber das dann 1:1 als Rente auszuzahlen halte ich fuer Geldverschwendung. Die nordischen Rentenfonds zeigen dass eine Anlage der Pensionsgelder in Risikoarme Fonds durchaus Sinn macht.
Deutlich sinnvoller waere es die gesetzliche Rentenversicherung - evtl. staatlicher Garantie - mit einem Teil der Rentenbeitraege in Fonds anlegen zu lassen, wie es hier in Skandinavien schon ewig ueblich ist. Wir wissen ja dass das aktuelle Umlagemodell irgendwann kollabieren wird - aber statt zu versuchen das zu beheben wird einfach akzeptiert dass das halt Geld verbrennt, und versucht was komplett separates zu basteln damit die Leute halt doch noch irgendwas im Alter haben.
Auch wenn sie das taeten - es ist die Aufgabe des Arbeitgebers fuer ein ordentliches Gehalt zu sorgen, nicht meine.
Ich habe bewusst die ganze Zeit nur bei Restaurants bestellt die selber Fahrer hatten (und idealerweise auch die Autos gestellt haben) - aber dummerweise haben jetzt auch die letzten davon aufgegeben und machen den Gig Economy Scheiss mit. Service ist schlechter als frueher, Lieferkosten hoeher - da geb ich Fahrern die dumm genug sind bei sowas anzufangen nicht auch noch extra Trinkgeld.

Vor ein paar Tagen gabs hier ein Post zu Deutschlandwochen im Lidl in Italien, wo einer aus Schweden und ich mich ueber das Layout gewundert haben.
Jetzt sind auch hier Deutschlandwochen - und anscheinend wurde generell das Packungslayout geaendert - frueher war das alles "Alpenfest", jetzt "taste of deutschland".
Einige Produkte haben sich auch geaendert - z.b. waren die Apfel/Kirsch/Pflaumenkuchen frueher grosse runde Kuchen, jetzt sinds mehrere Teile.
Und Maultaschen sind wieder nicht dabei.

I've finally found a bag which nicely fits almost everything I want to carry every day, and alos makes everything easily accessible - it is about the same size as what I used to carry, but now I no longer need to dump everything out to find what I neede, even with some lose parts still in there.

This was just a matter of time - and there isn't really that much the affected can do (and in some cases, should do). Shutting down that service is the correct thing - but that'll only buy a short amount of time: Training custom models is trivial nowadays, and both the skill and hardware to do so is in reach of the age group in question.
So in the long term we'll see that shift to images generated at home, by kids often too young to be prosecuted - and you won't be able to stop that unless you start outlawing most of AI image generation tools.
At least in Germany the dealing with child/youth pornography got badly botched by incompetent populists in the government - which would send any of those parents to jail for at least a year, if they take possession of one of those generated pictures. Having it sent to their phone and going to police for a complaint would be sufficient to get prosecution against them started.
There's one blessing coming out of that mess, though: For girls who did take pictures, and had them leaked, saying "they're AI generated" is becoming a plausible way out.
My kids broke the flap on one of our sockets, so I had to look into getting them replaced.
Initially I tried to make them clip on to avoid having to remove the complete socket for future replacements, but that ended up either weakening the hinges too much, or making it impossible to attach it with the spring in the right position.

Die Kinder waren vorher im Wald und haben Heidelbeeren mitgebracht. Daher musste ich jetzt ungeplant schnell einen Kuchen machen.
Falls ihr das nachbauen wollt sollten eure Kinder so 250-300g Beeren aus dem Wald holen.
Boden: Normaler Muerbteig (200g Mehl, 75g Puderzucker, 75g Butter, 1TL Backpulver, 1 Ei)
Fuellung: 250g Quark, 50g Puderzucker, 2 Eier
Fuellung aufschlagen, ggf. etwas Vanillezucker dazu. Ich hatte nur 200g Quark, aber dafuer noch etwa 50g Vanillesosse uebrig, das tuts dann auch.
Beeren unterheben, Fuellung auf den ausgerollten und an den Seiten hochgezogenen Teig geben, im vorgeheizten Backofen bei 180 Grad etwa 45 Minuten backen. Aus der Form nehmen und auf einem Gitter abkuehlen lassen.
Cum-ex und andere "Steuersparmodelle" ordentlich verfolgen, und wir haben genug Geld dass uns Leistungsmissbrauch bei Sozialleistungen nicht weiter stoeren muss.
