Some groups have allegedly used the “901” tag in their usernames to identify themselves, raising alarms among officials and parents alike

What does this mean? I can't seem to find info on what a 901 tag even is.

If you can get someone else's SIM card to see if it's a carrier issue, and I know factory resetting sucks but it is the easiest way to discount a hardware issue :/

Good luck!

Aye, I've given my old NAS enclosure to a family member and they've never been so happy having the arrrr stack running on it and I think it's like magic to them still.

However one step at a time and I'll get them off Google Photos (I've plonked Immich and Jellyfin on their bedroom n100 box) and Drive if it kills me. Screw this bullshit of paying to store our data only for them to double down and invade their privacy.

We do, twice a year and it annoys me no end since I work some shitty continental hours and sometimes have to watch the clock go backwards through the night.

Have you tried a factory reset?

It’s possible the hackers had access for months or longer to networks the ~~U.S~~ China country uses to make lawful requests for communications data, the newspaper wrote.

I'd be curious how that works on the opposite end of surveillance states.

I'm pretty sure GCHQ here likes my noods

Sticker repository? lol, Telegram has that market cornered and you know it :)

https://matrix.org/ is probably the only reasonable solution to your problem but reading between the lines you're inferring that Telegram is dead in the water.

I'm a popcorn fanantic and await to see the, corns?

You'd think they'd include an ethernet port on the device itself.

Or, hopefully they include a power brick with a RJ45 port. WiFi for streaming large high bitrate files is less than ideal especially if it's touted as a set top streaming box.

I seem to be suffering from the above bug

https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/issues/11139

but it only seems to pervade if I'm using Tailscale to VPN ~~home~~ to my exit node at a family members house?

Is Google / YT blocking the use of VPN's here / anyone else experiencing this?

I'm lost. Why is this ruining Android?

[-] ladfrombrad@lemdro.id 15 points 7 months ago

I think from some of the comments they're concerned that it won't be a toggleable flag, that at any point, some spooky man from Google or some 3 letter agency can enable and/or override.

At any time. Which is a very fair point?

However, swings and roundabouts from my end likes the idea of being able to recover lost/stolen hardware so I'd like to hear others voices on it.

Have you got any sources for Motorola phones coming with spyware on them?

Starting with version 0.19.0 voting also counts as being active.

aka, the lurkers 👀

I've always upvoted both posts that are on topic to the community and always to people who take the time out of their day to reply.

It's like common courtesy to me and votes are like free confetti anyways.

So I suppose the OP's figures are, off.
