This is awesome! Dark Souls II is a personal favorite. This piece really reminds me of old school fantasy art from the 70s/80s. Great application of color theory, framing, and perspective. Thank you for sharing and I hope you share more!
You got it right! Azpiri's first comic is from 1971 and did many covers in the old days. More examples in the linked source, and an extra one here:

His art is awesome, reminds me of Frazetta. Do you have any favorite comics of his that you would reccomend?

I dind't want to describe Azpiri as the "Spanish Frazetta" (EDIT: maybe "with a Moebius touch"?) because it can sound pretentious :P, but I see some truth there.

I grew up reading Mot, his most children-safe comic, but I cannot find anything in Enlgish.
On Anna's Archive you can find some of his more adult comics:

But I'm not an expert, so I cannot recommend anything in particular.
I'd never heard of Azpiri - Lorna and Blackthorne look fantastic. Thank you for sharing internet friend ๐
Cool fantasy art; I like the colour and the composition. However, much as there's a lot of dragon riding, sword swinging and skull stomping in Dark Souls, it would be most misleading to suggest you, the protagonist, are doing much of it - you're more on the receiving end. Doesn't really invoke the 'fading flame' theme of the series, either.
Azpiri takes MANY liberties with his covers. It's like they are more about the ilustration than the game. With very old games (see example below) it was very obvious, but with newer games, the style feels a bit weird if you don't know the artist.

Video Game Art
Video games are not mere time killers. They are albums of sound, aesthetics, animation and narrative.
This community is in appreciation of that. Screenshots, fanart, animations, gameplay clips. It is all welcome here.
The one common thread should be an eye for the aesthetic. This is not a place to discuss mechanics or stats, but to show off simply the artistic, expressed through the video game medium.
- All rules of the parent instance apply. That is, sopuli.xyz
- Include the name of the game your post is associated with in the post title.
- If your post is fanart, include a link to the artist in post body, if you can. You may also ping @saucechan@ani.social to have it attempt to find the source for you, and provide it in a comment.
- MARK ANY TEXT SPOILERS, as for art, do not post content that outright spoils key moments of a games narrative. Content that can only be understood with the context of having played the game, is ok.
- No generative AI art.
