This is correct. It has nothing to do with the underlying screen tech (it does NOT require an electron gun), but on the refresh timing.

If your emulator can tune the gun read to the screen lag, you theoretically could interrupt emulation during the blackout frames to give the gunna chance to see them, although this would almost certainly reveal the effect to the player.

This is likely a JavaScript race condition created by autofill on the password field. Lots of websites have this now; some fucking framework or another doesn’t handle a paste/autofill on fields. Try adding a space after the password and then remove it again, see if it trips the validation checks

I saw an article that said they’re already talking about running her again.

These fucking ghouls took Bernie from us twice and think why can just shove Kamala down our throat because she’s “not Trump”? After actually losing?

God the DNC is so much worse than I once thought they were

Make no mistake, they will backpedal and apologize, but this was a flex. They want the public to know that their machines are fucking pwnt from top to bottom and they shouldn’t try any funny shit.

Apparently Biden’s been running on like one cylinder for the last 3 years (who could have guessed) so I guess you’d have to hope his team of DNC operatives would pardon; which will not happen.

They’re mostly just pardoning people who defrauded Medicaid and put kids in to private prisons for kickbacks, while revoking student debt cancellation.

You know, pulling the mask off since nothing matters anymore.

Salad? For breakfast?

You do, they just don’t see much activity and therefore people assume they do not exist.

Discoverability is becoming a big issue for niche communities within Lemmy.

I almost wish that the community model was more like a tag, and there was just one single “plumbing” for all instances, for example. I realize though that this idea raises hell for moderation/what do you do when someone takes over a name for hateful purposes/where does the sidebar exist/etc.

Having separate comms on separate instances just results in the biggest instance hosting all the communities; at what point is that any better than Reddit?

There’s a way to change that

[-] 4am@lemm.ee 8 points 4 days ago

I looked at ONE light switch because I couldn’t find exactly the type in other stores (single-gang dual 2-way multipole) and now they will NOT stop emailing me about electrical equipment and supplies as if i was a contractor

They then go on to describe what sounds like

  • transmitting a single specific photon through ‘the internet’, implying start-to-finish with routing (not possible without special infrastructure)

  • Use that photon to then send information instantly by manipulating its entangled sibling (also not possible)

So yeah this article is a crock of shit.

This is not a junk drawer! This is a cooking utensil (mostly baking) that has no other good place drawer!

The junk drawer got like, loose screws and scotch tape and batteries and scrap paper and whatnot

Sometime, probably close to 20 years ago, but perhaps more recently, you heard a dial tone for the last time and you didn’t even realize it would be.
