I'm asking in terms of crafted, interactive activities that aren't necessarily aiming to be fun. Say a little more serious or dry, but still interesting, thought-provoking, and emotionally compelling.

Think of some stuff you may already self-host but it'd make it easier (and maybe keep your config simpler) to suggest to others if it had a desktop/mobile app version

Original clunky title: How do ActivityPub instances' people initially find remote instances' people/communities/channels/etc. to vary their feeds?

Given that an instance won't see remote instance's people and stuff to follow/subscribe to until someone there has found them and followed/subscribed...That's generally how ActivityPub works, isn't it?

I know using a headset helps, but you're still talking, so...Do you adjust the mic settings to pick up even as you speak quieter, or...?

How do you check to ensure you're still audible enough to those on the other end if you do that?

Also this isn't a shared room situation, so that helps, but I want to be sure I'm not being too loud.

Thanks for any advice!

Also: how do you identify a work as peer reviewed?

For any range of topics, lighthearted to serious, hobbies and games to helping and engaging with community matters. Regarding reach, I mean what ways may be used alongside word of mouth, as I honestly don't hear people talk about groups they're in (besides sports/bands) all that much.

Original, clunky form of the question:

What gameplay settings/options that some game genres don't often have would make you more apt to play them?

Are the chokers somewhat adjustable to fit different size necks? Do you have any dislike or fear of giraffes? If yes and no, you might look into getting some giraffe dolls that are firm enough to basically wear and display the chokers and ease your selection.

You could even slightly decorate the giraffes to help in sorting them, supposing the wearing of chokers wasn't enough for your tastes.

How might we help and encourage people to leave Twitter?

...Does anyone have data on how many people still use checks?

Plus Taylor Swift who has been immensely popular for like...What, over a decade now? Only now suddenly wielding her influence to run the government or something? Please, she's rich, popular, and in business, she basically operates as her own independent nation without needing to run anyone else's. ๐Ÿ˜‚

They're not also locked into Facebook? It seems like far too many public services communicate through these non-public platforms (i.e. often more easily viewed or sometimes only viewable with an account).

Somehow this is the first time I've ever seen, "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" shortened that way and it left me thinking it was something even more arcane ๐Ÿ˜‚

How do people go about making really long images like this? And also, what screen resolution are they aimed at?

Any time I find images like this I end up having to zoom in & pan about to read whatever text's included. It's not much trouble, but when I come across them I'm often a little perplexed by the formatting.

Won't a wall, supposing it's somewhat effective at mitigating unlawful entry over the surface, simply encourage even more risky behavior such as (more?) tunneling and/or attempts at entering via the Gulf?

Also, for cat lovers out there, you might want to note this detail that just adds to the suffering this will perpetuate:

Concern is shared with environmental advocates who say structures will run through public lands, habitats of endangered plants and species like the Ocelot, a spotted wild cat.

Finally, wouldn't the more modern, humane, and fiscally responsible solution to this whole issue be migration reform such that people can more easily, legally enter the country? More people become citizens, more tax revenue, governments' budgets may still be tight but more manageable (supposing they continue to insist on avoiding taxing businesses more).

Don't get me wrong, though, I realize a big part of why it's not being addressed that way is related to fearmongering, with another big part being exploited migrant labor.

But you agreed to it.

When does an agreement become null and void when the knowledge and time needed to understand the terms, and especially whether they even stand in the various jurisdictions, is simply unfeasible for a layperson to be expected to possess?

In a similar vein, if an agreement requires a lawyer on call/retainer to interpret, what court besides a bought court would possibly uphold such a standard?

Fwiw I'm not asking this with the expectation of you personally having the answers, but to further highlight the absurdity of many of these so-called agreements.
