No one in their right mind would put this word into a children's book though, it's absolutely not colloquial. So I suspect sometijng weird going on in the original image.

WEC Champion Ferdinand Habsburg: "You need the toughest competition in the world to even remotely get good. I needed Lando Norris as my teammate for two years to actually become a racing driver. Without Lando, I don't think I would be a LeMans winner or a WEC champion."

(George) Russell, who is also a director of the drivers union, said permanent stewards who attend every F1 race should be looked into but Ben Sulayem claims the FIA does not have the money.

"But I don’t really sometimes understand. It’s always about the FIA. ‘Why are we doing this? Why are we doing that?’ But did anyone go to FOM?”

“I say it again and again – stewards do not grow on trees. It takes time to educate them. It takes time to train them. And then you evolve them, so we have a programme.

“I see the point about having them maybe like the Premier League where they [the referees] are paid. But we don’t have the money to do that.

“So we have to be also very careful of the way we are going. As long as they are committed, fair, and they are trained properly, then there will be stewards who come and go.”

In the wake of the Reddit API changes, I decided to jump off that ship. Saw Lemmy mentioned but a lot of posts were painting it negatively, due to federation things and tankies. I was on Squabbles (lol) as my Reddit replacement platform for a few months before that disintegrated and then finally arrived at Lemmy.

Anything illegal posted on a remote server will bring legal trouble to you as a server admin the moment it federates onto your instance. Therefore I completely understand them defederating from instances with a high risk of illegal activity.

Michael Jackson. Having his career fail during the childhood "Jackson 5" phase. Better for him and a lotta other people.

You're making the right point, BUT pretty much every train service provider would add more parallel tracks if they increase the number of trains to a certain point, because they start getting in the way of each other

"“Our colleagues from BRDO (Better Regulation Delivery Office) calculated that in 2021, law enforcement officers spent about 85,500 working hours on cases related to the distribution of porn."

All that while Ukraine has been one of the biggest producers of porn ever since at least the 1990s..

"Hualongdong region of China", CNN?

Are you sure about that?

Because I'm pretty Sure we are talking about the Hualong Cave (in Chinese "Hualong dong") in the Anhui province. Which is where HLD6 was found.

Granted, the paper itself writes the location confusingly, but it doesnt take a long time to research the finding site.
