Asked chatgpt: Gewebeklebeband is the German term for fabric adhesive tape or duct tape. It is a strong, durable tape made with a fabric backing and coated with adhesive on one side.

The grey stuff is masking tape?

Massive fan of feddit.uk and Lemm.ee, moderation has been great, feddit.uk the admin have shown a willingness and urgency in helping user. My personal experience; helping with resetting a backend issue effecting my account and looking into bot'ed down voting when I DM'd them.

Lemm.ee is just good with their federation philosophy which can be found on the sidebar.

GSC in my opinion ruined stalker 2 in the chase for "next gen" graphics. And modern graphics are now so dependent on upscaling and frame gen, sad to see but trailers sell.

Kink dating apps seem to work well for me. Also rather than swiping on repeats and ladies that aren't my type I block, sounds heartless but its good to have a boundary and stops mainstream dating apps from repeating the same people. personal I avoid woman who in every photo are at a club, wear brands, plastic surgery, essentially they have life styles at odds from mine. Outdoorsy, intelligent seems my type so basically don't shy from setting boundary.

And like most other comments have mentioned, pursue your passion, if thats video game, science fiction or sports, post about it, have discussions and genuinely seek positive interactions.

Many years ago me and an old friend co-op'ed Ghost Recon Wildlands, hands down a great game minus the third person perspective, soon after we moved on to Far Cry 5, it felt familiar, like GRWL but published, less outrageous pop in anyway since feeling burned by Stalker 2 I've put a couple of hours back into Far Cry 5 and honestly its still great, looks good, runs amazingly with a game loop thats fairly casual. I have however noticed some bits have changed, the cash shop for one is somewhat front and centre, the added guns and skins and cars look silly af, there is also DLC (I have get to delve into that) anyway I find myself surprised that Far Cry 5 lacks mods, anyway I'm wondering why is there so few, Far Cry 5 would make for a solid base for similar concepts like Anomaly, or Fallout London where they overhaul the story to make something for old players to cling on to.

It might be obvious but I don't play many UniSoft titles, the ones I have played have already been mentioned (fc5, GRWL) and I can imagine people rolling their eyes thinking "another UniSoft game" and if that's the case is there another entry to the franchise with high level modding?

Also I'm glossing abit, its my only experience of a the franchise I'm sure if I played them all I'd be as sick of the loop as everyone else. Anyway what's everyone's thoughts on fc5, the franchise in general, favourite entry and the modding scene for fc, will we witness the death of UniSoft?

Just to gauge what lemmys saying. I've had my head buried in Stalker 2 forum thread for the past week. Its polarising with one side saying "its a blast" the other "its a fucking dumpster fire".

Anyway I think stalker 2 will get GoTY. I don't think Stalker 2 is GoTY tho...

This is the River Ex. A beautiful walk that can easily waste a day especially beautiful with some light rain and overcast.

Preface I have depression, I live in a small city with plenty of decay forced by a system that can't offer happiness to the majority so I try and take notice of the glimpses around me and I wish I could better illustrate what I see through something better than a restrained photo but also its not the only limiting factor. Anyway hopefully someone here can see something similar to what I did.

been using Arch for years but i am still a novice, yesterday i had found that in order for something to work on my system i will need to edit a few lines in kernel which i did, then removed unnecessary modules > intel, > nvidia, compiled. it worked great but with Arch and its rolling release i am dreading the next update and having to go through this again.
what methods are there to automate this process?

tell me the most ass over backward shit you do to keep your system chugging?
here's mine:
sway struggles with my dual monitors, when my screen powers off and back on it causes sway to crash.
system service 'switch-to-tty1.service'

[Unit]
Description=Switch to tty1 on resume
After=suspend.target

[Service]
Type=simple
ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/switch-to-tty1.sh

[Install]
WantedBy=suspend.target

'switch-to-tty1.service' executes '/usr/local/bin/switch-to-tty1.sh' and send user to tty1

#!/bin/bash
# Switch to tty1
chvt 1

.bashrc login from tty1 then kicks user to tty2 and logs out tty1.

if [[ "$(tty)" == "/dev/tty1" ]]; then
    chvt 2
    logout
fi

also tty2 is blocked from keyboard inputs (Alt+Ctrl+F2) so its a somewhat secure lock-screen which on sway lock-screen aren't great.

Noticed these strange looking balls that may pass for an art installation but imagine maybe temperature control?
