Passkeys. They'll probably improve eventually but I feel like right now it's a mess.

On Android you are forced to use the default implementation, only in 14 and above can you use password managers for them.

On desktop it's somewhat less messy but you can use the system storage or a password manager extension. Some sites only let you use them for 2FA, some full login, some can't be put in a password manager from my experience and so on.

Just a mess right now.

Navidrome, as a music server. It's very convenient to have a central place to host your music.

My biggest issue is that it doesnt't support multiple artists yet.

At least it's not number 500

Thumb-Key

It took a few weeks to get used to it and a few more to get comfortable, but now I don't think I can go back. Before when I messed up, I would keep repeating the mistake until I was forced to slow down. Now I can get 40-50 WPM when I try.

I do miss some things but they really aren't deal breakers:

  • Clipboard History
  • Emoji Search
  • Autofill Integration

As a subscriber, one of the things I like about Kagi is how responsive the Kagi team is. I've reported a few bugs (4-5 maybe?) and they all got resolved fairly quickly. You can also find the founder on the Discord server talking with users. This was a breath of fresh air to me when I signed up.

Sure your DOB & address were leaked, but don't worry your password is safe.

Damn, who would've guessed people are tired of subscriptions?

Might start an argument but:

It looks pretty weird. The colors were a signture Google Maps feature.

What happens with my contributions?

Your contributions are uploaded to the OpenStreetMap database and that data can be used for many purposes. Stuff like making map apps for routing, maps for background overlays, using the data to analyze trends, and much more.

How long before they're wrapped up into a map update?

Edits from StreetComplete are uploaded to the OSM database pretty much immediately. Afterwards it depends on whatever app you are using to pull that data in and process it. Some apps like OSMand have the ability to update within minutes, other apps like Organic Maps update monthly, and others update less often or on a different schedule.

Do other people have to solve the same quest as a double check?

No, once a quest on StreetComplete is uploaded there are no double checks. Other users can check for uploads from StreetComplete users but this is something separate and would be done after the data is uploaded. Though I believe StreetComplete may re-ask some quests after some time to confirm stuff like opening hours is still up to date.

This is off the top of my head so feel free to correct me if I missed something.

OnePlus is a joke. I've have had multiple issues with their software (thankfully not hardware yet). From Google Pay breaking to unfinished English translations and even removing (or messing with) features on updates. And other people online have had worse. I'll probably just spend the money on some other company next time.

Yep! I made an account on my current instance after starting on one of the bigger ones. I still have my old one just in case. But now that some of the smaller communities I followed have started coming in it feels identical!
