These figures mark Trump’s worst-ever performance with LGBT voters — who make up about 8% of the population.

To blame transgender people, who make up a minority of the US population and electorate is not only untrue, as LGBT resoundedly voted democrat, but its also disgusting to somehow blame our oppression on ourselves. The Democrats lost this election because they failed to address the economic issues of the working class, and instead focused on centrist pandering and immigration. Democrats cannot advocate for the working class because ultimately they are beholden to the ruling class elites.

The DPRK is a bourgeoisie nation-state much like the United States.

‘Economy’ is a buzzword to them.

This mind reading of what Republican or the Average Voter "really believes" provides no value. It was consistently shown both before, and after this election, the main concern of the people of the United States was that of the economy, and the worsening of their material conditions through inflation. It can be seen in the rhetoric of the Republican party, through terms such as "drain the swamp", that the electorate of the United States is voting for a Trump as revenge against some kind of Evil Ruling Elite (The Bourgeoisie), while failing to recognize that Trump and the Republican party is a reactionary bourgeoisie party like the democrats.

Thank you for reinforcing my point. Viewing politics as a series of isolated incidents performed for an audience of completely reasonable voters is utterly absurd, even in an ideal hypothetical situation, much less the current US.

No idea how this is relevant to what I said. The Democratic Party supported this anti-trans bill that will lead to the deaths of transgender people.

Imagine being this desperate to absolve the electorate for voting in fascism.

  1. The turnout of this election was 63.9%, meaning around 88084000 people did not vote for either of the two candidates. That is more votes than for Trump or Harris, making "No One" the real winner of the popular vote. The USA bourgeoisie liberal democratic political system cannot garner large support of the population to "legitimize" it through the process of election.

  2. Republican, AND all voters voters consistently ranked the economy as the number one issue to them this election. Voters flock to Trump due to his perceived opposition to the ruling class of the United States, and the injury to their economic conditions under Biden, mainly through inflation. Fascism coats itself in populist rhetoric to the confused but class conscious, proletariat.

Democrats control the Senate, and The Presidency. The house has one of the most razor thin majorities in US history. There is simply no world where this bill passed if the Democrats didn't support it.

The democratic party is a bourgeoisie party that serves the interests of the ruling class, just like the Republicans. It is irrelevant what you say or do, the outcome of elections is determined by the bourgeoisie of the United States. Democrats have made numerous promises to protect trans people and yet, 121 democrats voted for this bill.

Considering OpenBSD and NetBSD have had two new releases just this year, and how well funded the BSDs are by major corpos who like ripping source code, I think their so called "Deaths" have been majorly overstated.

Give a BSD a try, it's a lot less like shoving systemd/apache2/red hat together and reading 300000 line long config files with documentation that clearly was never intended to be read and more like using an actual operating system designed to be cohesive.

Exactly. This is exactly the problem, and unless people wisen up the software security problem is only going to get worse. Companies and Governments need to rethink how they approach security entirely. This is a preview of what is to come, its only going to get worse and more damaging from here, and none of the vendors care.

Haha sure. Windows NT MIGHT be considered 'secure' from an architectural standpoint but literally of this falls apart when you tape all the Microsoft Dark Patterns on it that ruin the security. Its a joke, and that's the entire problem.

Think: Microsoft Accounts, now the "secure" Windows NT Local User Authentication is effectively backdoored by MS and makes you vulnerable to phishing attacks. Windows Update: Constantly pushing dark patterns and 'features' that it discourages people from updating so then guess what, people don't update! The fact that Windows so easily allows Crowdstrike to make system level changes like this without trying a whiny fit is also apart of it. Think about the fact how easily Microsoft allows stuff like Valorant anti-cheat and Crowdstrike, which are effectively rootkits, to be installed with one UAC prompt. In reality this issue is not really Microsoft's fault directly, but in a bunch of indirect ways they encourage this and allow it to happen, and we have seen time and time again, Microsoft DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SECURITY.

If anything this "Crowdstrike" software showcases the endemic problem in software security and how our system is failing and continuing to fail us. Its an anti-virus, but we already HAVE Windows Defender. These corporations should not be using some random 3rd party Antivirus, I doubt it even does much good, its just cargo-culting "oh, this is industry standard, so we have to use it." This is the kind of thinking/approach that Microsoft encourages.

There is two paths, we can either have a compromise speaker who isn't Mike Johnson, or Jeffries, without massive concessions (not just floor time, actual policy concessions) it makes no sense for democrats to save Johnson from his own party.
