Modern anarchism can't ignore an adequate understanding of free and open-source software, self-hosted alternatives such as the fediverse help to fight the big corps in controlling internet and minds.

The better experience is a film without Snyder. The Owls of Ga'Hoole is the only decent work in his (artistically) shitty career.

Don't forget Syncthing, I always suggest it first since it doesn't require a server or advanced knowledge to work.

Oh, I'm sure we're all great parents here. I applaud you for admitting a mistake and having the humility to ask for advice, both excellent parenting skills in my opinion.

I believe the answer is always culture. Once better videogames are discovered it's likely that they will hardly go back to the bad ones (so that the problem of prohibitionism - which is only a temporary solution - can be solved).

Lemmy (like Reddit) is about topics, and communities are formed around them. Mastodon (like Twitter/X) is user-centric, and discussions are formed around them. They are simply two different approaches to the social component.

The nature of these social networks makes one more useful for already known users/organizations and less for the common user. In fact, if you want to follow a particular person, Mastodon is more useful, but if you want to talk about some topic in general, Lemmy will always be superior.

I was trying to find some games the other day, using advanced search and filters, and I've noticed some categories feel not so useful. This is the actual main categorization:

  • Abstract games
  • Children's games
  • Customizable games
  • Family games
  • Party games
  • Strategy games
  • Thematic games
  • Wargames

These are the main game genres in your opinion?

There are distributions with a great Steam experience out of the box? It's SteamOS actually a good choice? Maybe isn't what you use or prefer.

A good Steam distro for me has a very mininal procedure for perfectly working controllers, client and general user experience.

Your direct test and experience are very appreciated.

Does the Satoshi revolution need more time?

Most governments are introducing taxes on wallets and NFTs, and all content creators in the industry care to teach you to pay your taxes properly.

The biggest threat to global finance embedded in the system, in general indifference.

Wasn't this supposed to be in every person's hands? Off-grid, decentralized as it is in its nature?

(edit)

Yes, I haven't read "Mutual Aid: A Factor of Evolution" by Kropotkin wich I discovered only recently.

I recently readed more about it, and the association with anarchy was immediate.

And what do you actually use? I know the answer is probably self-hosting but maybe there are other solutions for a decent privacy.

My nearest way is using my steam controller but isn't comfy to navigate Netflix or other streaming websites.
