Unless you referring specifically to the original deck's screen, I dont see a point in paying way more for specs that if you try using will get you a battery life of 30min.

And as someone who thought the trackpads were pointless: they make a lot of games you wouldn't expect perfectly playable. I personally have been playing stellaris on the deck and it's been great.

Just skip that step and get the deck. It's the best handheld anyway.

Honestly, nowadays a 100Gb game is small. Games are easily 200+ for the AAA section.

Why would they though? They profit just the same from the high prices.

Unless Zig starts its own cult, I feel Rust will win in the end.

Yes, not only many people still play the same games for 10 years, but also spend most of their gaming time in them. There's a reason why a new live service game is both a gold mine and also incredibly difficult to stick.

I did it. For a few years now I've wanted to make the jump but lazyness and a bit of worry that my main game wouldn't work very well kept me from it.

Then some effing windows update caused ridiculous stuttering on games (or maybe it was a auto-update of some other hidden thing, I couldn't figure it out) so I decided that if I needed a system wipe, might as well as try gaming on linux.

Honestly? Much easier than I expected. Install Steam, turn two options on and 90% of your library is ready to go. I had to tinker with getting freesync to work (ended up just switching to wayland, which just worked) but other than the plugins I use for my main game requiring a bit of more work, smooth as butter really.

So yeah, if you are a lazy gamer like I am, next time you do a system wipe or get a new computer, try installing linux first. Don't even bother Dual booting it, if you don't like it just reinstall (setup your usb drive with ventoy and the images you want to try out.)

I just want to build requests and read the responses, why the hell does everyone suddenly want me to make an account?

Your favorite movie, series, or anything else really that you can't find a community here (or maybe it just doesn't exist)

One big project or multiple smallers ones? What do you think?

Yeah it was fun in the beginning, after all who never thought about being transported to another world where you ate a big hero with swords and magic?

But what the hell, I'm pretty sure there's more isekai now than other genres/settings. It's gotten to a point that if I see the tag I just move on.

Right now, we feel that Lemmy and ActivityPub have downsides that are limiting us from achieving that goal.

Could you expand on this? How exactly does these things prevent you from Being Nice, if that's the goal of your community?

Damn, wasn't expecting actual OCD.

I'd rather deal with this supposedly "toxic" lemmy userbase than sift through a thousand comment post where 900 are bot reposts on reddit

Let's say I'm from instance A and use a community from instance B. Let's say another user of instance C, that's not federated with A but is with B, post in B. Can I see that post?

They want cheap workers, not more.

Be very careful. An expensive mattress, if you care for it, can last a long time and will definitely help with your pains. But just because it is expensive does not mean it is actually good, let alone good for you specifically. There are many types of different mattresses and you should take some time to find one for you.

TLDR: lie down on it before buying.
