Not a car I would want to own, but man I'd love to ride in one once!

I had a poster of this on my wall as a kid, I wanted one so bad. Seeing it here makes me want one again.

But at original MSRP, not the $250k they said they go for now.....

Not sure this belongs here, but I love Group B and would have loved to experience it first hand! Sadly I got into cars (and adulthood) far too late to enjoy this era.

I figure I'll know if y'all like this type of content or not by the votes.

This is disappointing. I'm not a muscle car fan to start with but to miss this much on a style of car that clearly has a loyal fan base is unfortunate. Hopefully they recover now that their CEO is being swapped out with luck for someone who doesn't think Chainsaw Al or whatever his name was is someone to admire.

I think the new transmission is exciting! I knew some of the drawbacks of the traditional CVT but the efficiency loss is new to me.

14

You know the track day is over when the transmission goes crunch.

My only wish is that the steering got better. Otherwise I think this is a perfect car.

Love this comparison, someone I've wondered off and on about. Yes tires are a big deal! Don't cheap out on them.

New brakes! (lemmy.world)

I know, not exciting to everyone but I'm tickled pink! I needed new rotors anyway, and this set was only a few hundred more than stock brakes.

Any favorites on this list? I owned the SAAB and F150. Wouldn't mind owning a few more eventually.

Visited an Toyota Land Cruiser museum in Salt Lake City earlier this week. Here are my favorites!

Don't be fooled by randomness. Randomness comes in clumps. For example if you flipped a thousand coins every day for a year and measured how each one predicted the stock market, heads for up, tails for down, at the end of the year you'll likely have one coin that far out performs the average. But would you use that coin to determine your investment strategy the next year?

And yeah Boeing is now killing people outside of their planes.

Traffic (the book) says most Americans merge into traffic wrong when lanes reduce (from say 3 lanes to 2 lanes for example.)

The right way is waiting until you are at the very end of the lane that's reducing. When that happens up to 60% more cars per hour get through the bottle neck in heavy traffic and accidents resulting in killed or serious injury are reduced by up to 80%.

Bottom line having multiple entry points in a queue with multiple slow down points due to the multiple entry points is the cause of the reduced performance with the way most Americans do it.

Yup, all the evidence scientists point to agree that if anything we are early to the party.

Last year it took 6 months to get water to stop leaking in my office, so yeah I'm just excited the note is charming...

My kid argued with me about what one sixteenth of a pie looked like when he was serving me. He tried to give me one eighth and I was already full!

My grandma would say "he can put his boots at the foot of my bed." My grandma had the hots for lots of younger country singers.

I'm nostalgic for the day when Google was the good company. A few years before "alphabet" you could see the change coming and since "alphabet" they are worse every year.
