When we have a critical mass of people, we can get random experts chiming in about interesting topics in an organic way.

Bonus question: how much would a company have to pay you for you to give 100% effort at work?

Aside from racism. I mean economically/socially, what issues does too much immigration cause?

Fund👏the👏IRS👏

Oh noes they're gonna do investigations and prosecutions? Fuck you, pay your taxes. There is zero moral justification for refusing to properly fund the IRS.

In favor of men: when we get angry, people listen. When women get angry, people stop listening.

Against men: men being around children is seen as suspect. Women being around children is seen as healthy.

You have all the powers that Putin currently does. Everyone completely loyal to Putin is now loyal to you. Enemies of Putin are enemies of you. Putin no longer exists, and there has been a clean and absolute transfer of power to you. The economic, military, social and political situations are the same as they now are. You are not inhabiting Putin's body, you are just you. You're magically transferred to the Kremlin. The world at large doesn't know your past life, to them you have magically appeared as the new ruler. To everyone who knew you before, you just vanished.

Edit: no one knows your past life YET. They'll quickly figure it out. You will not lose any support based on your actions in your past life.

China has state-coordinated schemes to both suppress its own internal population (which may not concern you if you aren't Chinese and never go to China) and to manipulate people globally (which everyone should be concerned about).

While it's true that all countries collect data for the purposes of propaganda, China does so at a scale and with a level of precision and control that pretty much no other country can reach.

You should be trying to limit the amount of data that ANY group gets about you, but some groups will do more nefarious things with it than others. Google for example just wants to advertise to you. Which is bad, I'm not trying to downplay that, just contextualize it. China wants to control every aspect of everything you do. China's capacity to control people outside its own borders is limited, but growing. The more data China gets, the more leverage it has to manipulate, coerce, and control.

Especially for those of us with no coding background, who can't just build/edit an app.

For example, I like using Gadgetbridge to replace my fitness tracker app: https://gadgetbridge.org/

It's not nearly as full-featured as a regular fitness app, but it literally can't connect to the internet so there's no way anyone can get my health info.

It's fucking hilarious when someone named "Gómez" tries to simp for republican nazis.

It's like, honey, you may not be the first one on the train, but they got a seat for you lol

Never, ever, EVER trust ANYONE who says they're doing something "for the safety of children". The war against porn and sex work has been co-opted by christian fascists.

Make no mistake, there is a hysteria around "child trafficking" nowadays, and that hysteria is being harnessed to pass laws that suppress our freedoms. SESTA/FOSTA has put the lives of countless sex workers at risk by forcing them back into the shady world of pimps and back alleys. The Texas ID law is pure government surveillance, and Project 2025 explicitly linked any trans people's mere existence as "pornographic" and thus subject to all anti-porn laws.

Human trafficking is real. Child abuse is real. And it needs to be fought against.

But never EVER trust anyone who goes to the media and starts shouting about "our children". It's a fucking scam, and it's usually making things worse for the people they claim to want to protect.

NCOSE, the organization that co-sponsored Traffickinghub, was previously known as Morality in Media, and used to rail against sex shops, push abstinence education, and once boycotted Disney for offering partner benefits to gay couples. The group’s president, Patrick Trueman, has served at multiple far-right organizations designated as anti-LGBTQ+ hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Laila founded Traffickinghub while on staff at Exodus Cry, an anti-trafficking organization that describes porn as a public health crisis. Its founder once called homosexuality an “an unspeakable offense to God.” One of its tax filings described a mission of “abolishing sex trafficking and the commercial sex industry,” which would seem to include porn.

Fuck this bitch. Did she help some children? Maybe. But that's not why she did it.

Reminder: in the presidential immunity case, SCOTUS ruled that an "official act" is immune, and only SCOTUS can decide what an "official act" is.

Obviously, this fascist SCOTUS would rule that anything Trump does is official, and anything Biden does is unofficial.

But...if Biden were to take some sort of action that caused a new composition of the court...the new SCOTUS could then rule that action, and any other by Biden, as official.

I think it might be time for Biden to take action.

Yeah Trump spent an hour blatantly lying.

But people believe him.

That's not a win.

“How do you see down below your breasts when you need to look to the ground?”

Do you just have enormous jugs or have you known a lot of particularly dumb men?

“Does having breasts ever make you feel you’re wearing your weakness?”

Ah ok so the second one

My personal favorite is being banned from "unpopular opinion" for having an unpopular opinion.

Sometimes. Depends on context. If the flaws make a solution unworkable, then they're worth bringing up. If you support the concept but would also like the flaws to be worked on, then it's worth tactfully bringing up. If no solution other than absolute perfection will satisfy you, shut the fuck up.

There's a lot of idiots and bad actors sabotaging good solutions because they want perfect solutions, and then we end up getting no solutions. So yeah. Don't do that.
