I'm guessing it's any death when a leftie is using right handed equipment, even though deaths would have happened anyways. However, if they counted how much higher it is than it would be for righties statistically, I could accept that some dangerous equipment is slightly more dangerous with the wrong handle (like chainsawing).

But also, I remember that texting while driving deaths statistics were inflated because they just included any time a phone had been on within several minutes of an accident, regardless of circumstances.

I have zero problem with consoles investing in new IPs and funding high budget games as console sellers.

But I don't like these buyouts or pointless exclusives. I don't know why there are still exclusive Final Fantasy games.

For me, X-men 2 was harder.

But Bubsy is just memorizing the layout or gambling. The game dares you to go fast like Sonic, but there are pitfalls every 2 seconds or you'll be going down into an unknown area that could either be fine or it could kill you, and there's no way of knowing beforehand.

Imagine being against diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's like someone racist accusing you of not being racist and your reaction is to prove them wrong.

[-] Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Me too. I like to play Xmen 2: Clone Wars and Bubsy on it. I've been thinking of getting an 8bitdo for it so I can play it wireless with my PS4 controllers.

Maybe protecting and enriching the rich, destabilizing the country, and attacking women and minorities SHOULD be criticized.

It should be the rich guy marionetting the MAGA guy and hiding behind him. Nobody is trying to make conservatives into second class citizens.

I'm playing through Jade Cocoon right now. These games aren't dead.

All that's blocked is coverage for procedures that might result in sterilization - procedures that are already not generally done on minors who arguably aren't yet capable of giving proper consent.

I've been upset about restricting care. But if what you're saying is true, then it's VERY different from how it's been portrayed.

To be fair, a majority of Americans chose not-Trump for 3 elections. And that's ignoring the fact that voters in solid blue states just didn't show up to vote because their votes don't matter. If we lived in a Democracy and not a Democratic Republic, I'm confident he would have lost the plurality as well.

But also, half the country didn't ask for this. Even in solid red states like the one I live in, a third of us didn't ask for this bullshit.

What I'm tired of is the media sanewashing domestic terrorists and centrists giving the right a free pass by not paying attention and assuming "both sides" any time literally anything happens.

Oh, they like being told what do. As long as it's by the right people, as long as they're told that they get to make others' lives worse.

That's the secret. Just about every "alpha" (with VERY few exceptions) is also a submissive "beta". They'll give up their morals, their daughters, their god, their freedom, whatever.

That's the fundamental difference between the left and the right. The left believes in cooperation, the right believes in the authority-submissive, alpha-beta dynamic.

These people just aren't in on the secret. As soon as they really start complaining they'll be told to fall in line.

My phone freezes once or twice a week when opening Connect, and only with that app. It's been this way for a couple months maybe. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

For reference, my phone is a Galaxy S21 Ultra.

HOLY SHIT. This is a much bigger deal than people realize. Politico is suggesting that her identity is in question to begin with. It's not.

She didn't evade a question about her identity because there is no question about her identity. She passed an opportunity to get upset over Trump's comments.

The secretary of state's response filed Monday agrees that a staff member got an e-mail asking for a copy of what to submit. It states that a staff member replied with a Word document.

However, the response states that what the staffer emailed was "an internal recordkeeping document" and not any sort of template. The response states that no such template exists.

The response also denies Arkansans for Limited Government's claim that attorneys and representatives with the secretary of state's office assured the group it had filed the necessary paperwork.

Jack Black has said he’s cancelled the rest of the Tenacious D world tour after his bandmate Kyle Gass sparked an outcry with a comment about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

The comedy rock group were on stage in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday when Gass was asked to make a wish after being presented with a cake for his 64th birthday.

He appeared to reply: "Don’t miss Trump next time."

Gass also split with his agent following the incident.

I get a lot of spam. In the subject it might say something about Home Warranty. The sender will say Home Warranty (the actual sender will be randomwords@randomwords.com).

But whenever I use my email's search engine, to delete all emails that say "Home Warranty", it can't find them.

Do people usually just ignore these types of emails?

FWIW, the community was worldnews@lemmy.ml.

I assume I was banned because I said I understood Biden opposing surgery on minors, specifically trans surgery. Although I disagreed with it.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma’s top education official ordered public schools Thursday to incorporate the Bible into lessons for grades 5 through 12, the latest effort by conservatives to incorporate religion into classrooms.

The House on Saturday passed a $95 billion aid package that includes two long-awaited bills with $60.8 billion of Ukraine aid and $26 billion in aid to Israel.

The Ukraine bill, which passed with 311 votes in favor, 112 votes against, and one present, will now head to the Senate alongside the Israel aid bill and two others — one with aid for Taiwan and another that forces Tiktok's parent company to sell it.

"Three U.S. C-130 cargo planes dropped 66 total bundles, equating to about 38,000 pork-free meals, into the territory on Saturday morning. The bundles were split between three planes, the official said."

"The airdrop is expected to be the first of many announced by President Joe Biden on Friday. The aid will be coordinated with Jordan, which has also conducted airdrops to deliver food to Gaza."

Not to be dramatic, but this has become a critical issue as football season starts. It's probably something I'll switch apps over. For some examples, head over to !NFL@lemmy.world and look at any game thread. It takes about 20 seconds (not an exaggeration) of scrolling to get to the comments.

Apparently this is a known issue that has been mentioned before.
