Bought games from years ago I have to finish. Waste of money if I don't complete them but I keep buying new ones.

I'm nearly finishing up The Witcher 2. Judging from the discussions, I'm afraid of starting Witcher 3 because I have other backlog of games I have to finish as soon as possible.

The wunderwaffe was a last ditch propaganda attempt to boost morale of the Germans. Which kind of worked because many Germans still believed in the "final victory" with wunderwaffes along the way to save them, in spite of the Allies being at the gates of Berlin.

I'm amazed that "chaos" there in France is more like "normal". I remember some riots that happened couple of years ago and one commenter said France might verge into collapsing. I thought to myself that those who think that are not aware how France works, and rioting is a tradition since the French Revolution.

What fame does to you.

The core theme of Harry Potter is about the power of love; and yet now she is being an insufferable, bigoted bitch. Wasn't she also for accepting refugees but then when right-wingers told her to allow refugees to stay in her house, she went silent?

And having competent generals.

Even as we speak, one of the few good and well respected Russian generals who dared speak out at the poor leadership of the general staff, had been arrested for supposed fraud. https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-arrested-general-ivan-popov-fraud-d8c4d6a7d447ff801b3f15bc540f77b6

Ignore the us vs them narrative that tend to dominate the news on migration and look at the bigger picture:

MIGRATION WILL ONLY GET WORSE WITH HUMAN-INDUCED CLIMATE CHANGE

I saw plenty of kintsugi kits available in my area (to those who do not know what kintsugi is, it is the art of fixing broken ceramic/pottery items using lacquer). However, I do not know if the quality is good for the price presented by these shops. Could anyone knowledgeable or experienced in kintsugi give some tips? I'd appreciate any help and thank you in advance.

He could have snapped and make everyone to be smarter and learn about contraceptives and family planning.

Ignoring the lack of updates if the game is buggy, games back then were also more focused on quality and make gamers replay the game with unlockable features based on skills, not money. I can't count the number of times I played Metal Gear Solid games over and over to unlock new features playing the hardest difficulty and with handicap features, and also to find Easter eggs. Speaking of Easter eggs, you'd lose a number of hours exploring every nook and cranny finding them!

I was watching a video on Willem Dafoe on his iconic roles, and his passion to craft and life, and positivity, exudes from him immensely. In that video, I am surprised he remembers from which of his movies the lines came from. It made me love him more as an actor because he loves life and his job.

But then during the interview, I remembered too when I watched Kevin Spacey's interview before, admiring him and it turned out he is a creep. I was telling to myself about Willem Dafoe "please don't be a creep, please don't be a creep."

Willem seems like a genuinely nice guy though but I hope I don't get proven wrong!

Edit: clarified the title

smaller European entrant

I like how from the perspective of outsiders, Aldi is "small". They're huge here in Europe along with Lidl. The two make a meme of establishing shops next to each other wherever either exist.

I am glad that Aldi is setting up shops in US. The chain is pretty cheap though the food quality is okay compared to others. I haven't really heard anything bad about Aldi so they are pretty good employers unlike many American shops like Walmart.

Where is the love for Chrisjen Avasarala? The UN General Secretary ~~Queen of the Earth~~ from The Expanse lore? The Space Iron Lady!

I admire her more than other traditional depiction of bad ass action stars who are either a man or a woman. I realised I admire mental acuity more than raw strength. Avasarala is Machiavellian but a pragmatist, and ready to get her hands dirty if needs be in spite of her privileged upbringing. Her main drawbacks though is that she is too willing to get her hands dirty, especially at the first episode when she personally oversaw the torture of a Belter in a blacksite. She was also willing to use her family image to gain political sympathy. But one could argue it's for the greater good, not that I am excusing both of her egregious and questionable actions. As I said, she is a pragmatist after all and looks at the bigger picture and have long term scope. She was right about slowly colonising the New Worlds. Avasarala is an anti-hero but she's right in more ways than none.
